The first visit is intended to clarify the problem, review your investigations, and decide whether surgery, further testing, or ongoing medical treatment is the most appropriate next step.

Consultations are usually booked once a referral has been received. Urgent referrals are triaged by the rooms, and the team can advise whether Parkville or Richmond is the more appropriate consulting location.

After surgery

  1. Wound ManagementYou will be given instructions about dressings, showering, and signs of infection to watch for after discharge.
